Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site Custodian role located in Hillsboro, OR. The Custodian will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the church facilities. Day-to-day tasks include gathering and disposing of trash, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors, and ensuring general maintenance of shared spaces. The role also involves setting up and cleaning up after events and performing minor repairs or maintenance tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong cleaning and organizational skills, including the ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor cleaners
• Basic knowledge of facility maintenance, such as handling minor repairs and addressing safety hazards
• Ability to manage time efficiently, work independently, and follow established schedules
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to creating a safe, welcoming, and clean environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with staff and community members
• Availability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
• Physical ability to lift moderate weights and perform tasks that require sustained physical activity
• Previous custodial or facility maintenance experience is a plus but not required
