\n\nJob Description\n

The Wound Care Specialist will manage and treat various types of complex wounds, including ostomy care and wound vac applications. The role involves assessment, management of skin integrity, and symptom management for patients.

\n\nResponsibilities\n

\n
• Provide comprehensive wound care assessment and management.
\n
• Implement and monitor treatment plans for ostomy care and management.
\n
• Conduct risk assessments impacting skin integrity.
\n
• Perform wound assessments and utilize appropriate treatment options.
\n
• Educate patients and families on care practices and symptom management.
\n

\n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n

\n
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in wound care.
\n
• Experience in hospital and pediatrics work settings.
\n
• Certifications: BLS, WCC or WOCN preferred.
\n
• Experience with Epic charting system.
\n
• Comfort with pressures ulcers, venous ulcers, and other complex wounds.
\n
