Medical Assembler

We are seeking a dedicated medical assembler to join our team in a state-of-the-art facility, specializing in the assembly of medical devices. This role requires the use of hand tools and microscopes to assemble various medical components, ensuring precision and quality.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble medical devices using hand tools and microscopes.
• Operate in a full clean room environment, adhering to hygiene and safety protocols.
• Cross-train at different assembly stations, using blades, cutters, and other tools.
• Inspect assembled parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Regularly lift up to 25 pounds and demonstrate excellent hand dexterity.
• Learn and adapt to potentially complex assembly processes quickly.

Essential skills:

• Minimum of 6 months experience in medical assembly or related manufacturing/assembly roles.
• Proficient in verbal and written communication.
• Excellent hand dexterity for maneuvering small components.
• Ability to understand and use measurement tools like rulers and calipers.
• Organizational skills and the ability to work overtime as needed.

Additional skills & qualifications:

• Previous experience in medical assembly is preferred.
• Experience in other assembly or manufacturing roles with a stable work history is advantageous.

Work environment:

Work in a medical device company within a full clean room environment requiring hair nets, gowns, and booties. Adherence to strict hygiene protocols is required, including washing hands before entering the clean room. The dress code prohibits nail polish, long fake nails, makeup, fragrances, henna tattoos, and pants with holes. Closed-toe shoes are mandatory.

This is a contract to hire position based out of Hopkins, MN.

Pay and benefits:

The pay range for this position is $18.75 - $19.25/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
